Job Requirements

  • high school graduation or equivalent
  • Florida Driver's License and acceptable driving record
  • ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting objects up to 100 pounds
  • ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule
  • ability to safely use cleaning agents and custodial equipment
  • capability to communicate effectively in diverse environments
  • willingness to perform incidental duties as required

Job Qualifications

  • high school graduation or equivalent
  • ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
  • skill in customer service principles and techniques
  • ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • ability to operate basic office equipment
  • relevant maintenance and janitorial experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Understand and follow written and oral instructions
  • communicate effectively in written and oral forms
  • set up and break down gymnasium equipment, work areas, break rooms, and classrooms
  • relocate and organize furniture, fixtures, and equipment as required
  • maintain a safe and clean working environment for assigned areas
  • perform janitorial cleaning and preventive maintenance according to schedules
  • utilize various cleaning agents and general maintenance equipment safely
  • operate basic office equipment including computers, printers, fax machines, and telephones
  • perform routine and minor facilities improvement tasks
  • establish and maintain effective working relationships with diverse populations
