Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university
  • 1-3 years of event experience, outdoor event experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of the principles of facility management, services and equipment
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
  • Ability to interact with all levels of staff including upper management
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours including daytime, evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Supervisory experience

Job Qualifications

  • Excellent organizational, planning and interpersonal skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize multiple clients and events
  • Good problem-solving and communication skills
  • Supervisory experience
  • Professional presentation, appearance and work ethic
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and interact with all levels of staff including upper management
  • Ability to work long and irregular hours including daytime, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties

  • Supervises staff and oversees all aspects of facility operations related to outdoor parkland events
  • Meets with client groups to plan and organize assigned events
  • Solicits new business through telemarketing, social media, and database and advertising campaigns
  • Coordinates activities with the various Soldier Field service contractors for assigned events
  • Guides clients in preparation of events by interpreting and explaining contract provisions, policies and procedures
  • Keeps clients informed as to the status of deadline schedules, including diagram submissions, set-up specifications, insurance requirements and other relevant details
  • Prepares cost estimates and monitors final billing
  • Provides clear, concise and timely communication of detailed requirements to operational departments
  • Assists in scheduling operational set-ups
  • Monitors and supervises event set-up when necessary
  • Serves as primary liaison between clients and stadium departments
  • Monitors events maintaining close contact with clients and facility staff
  • Attends planning, organization and other event and facility meetings in support of facility operation
  • Serves as manager on duty for designated/assigned events primarily outdoor parkland events
