Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience with basic cash counting
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service
  • Ability to operate an electronic cash register
  • Basic knowledge of safety standards
  • Ability to perform surveillance and report incidents
  • Reliable and able to work full time
  • Effective communication skills

  • Experience with basic cash counting
  • Customer service skills
  • Intermediate arithmetic and organization skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently or under supervision

  • Understanding and maintaining regular safety standards

Job Duties

  • Collect parking tickets and associated parking fees
  • Count and verify cash amounts collected
  • Ensure operating cash amounts are maintained in accordance with department policy
  • Make deposits, complete deposit forms and collect ticket debit forms
  • Operate an electronic cash register
  • Collect waste from receptacles outside parking garages, surface lots, and other campus areas
  • Provide assistance to patients, visitors, faculty, and staff
  • Perform customer service duties including information dissemination
  • Answer telephone calls
  • Raise and lower parking garage exit gates as needed
  • Perform general surveillance including operating video surveillance equipment
  • Report suspicious activities to the Police Communication Center
  • Complete and submit incident reports
  • Participate in training of new garage attendants
  • Attend monthly meetings and training sessions
