Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of valet or parking-related experience
- Valid California Driver’s License with clean driving record and no restrictions other than corrective lenses
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively
- Skilled in operating various vehicle types in confined spaces
- Basic computer literacy for valet operations administration
- Capable of performing simple mathematical calculations
- Demonstrated excellent attendance and punctuality
- Professional and courteous demeanor with public and coworkers
- Willingness to work at any UCSF location on short notice and overtime as needed
- Adherence to organizational policies and departmental procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in valet or related parking industry
- Valid California Driver’s License with excellent driving record and no significant restrictions
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and verbally
- Proficiency in operating manual, automatic, and electric vehicles in tight spaces
- Basic computer skills to support administrative tasks
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Strong customer service skills demonstrated through professional conduct
- Ability to work under periods of stress while maintaining efficiency and courtesy
Job Duties
- Perform valet duties including vehicle parking and retrieval
- Serve as a customer service ambassador greeting and assisting UCSF community members
- Conduct garage rover responsibilities including monitoring parking areas
- Direct traffic safely and efficiently within UCSF campuses
- Enforce parking regulations according to departmental policies
- Assist with administrative duties related to valet operations
- Represent Transportation Department programs and services in a professional manner
