Job Requirements
- Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent GED completion
- three years experience performing preventative maintenance and repair of parking meters and related equipment including money collection
- possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license
- successful completion of department interview and Department of Justice fingerprinting prior to employment
- willingness to work any assigned eight-hour shift including holidays, nights, and weekends
- ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds
- physical ability to perform duties involving balancing, crawling, crouching, kneeling, pulling, pushing, reaching, repetitive motion, speaking, standing, stooping, visual acuity, and walking
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED completion
- three years experience performing preventative maintenance and repair of parking meters and parking control devices
- experience collecting, sorting, and counting money from parking meters
- knowledge of parking operation equipment parts and mechanisms
- ability to perform computer record keeping and maintenance related inventory controls
- strong customer service and communication skills
- valid California Class C driver’s license
Job Duties
- Lead and train subordinate employees
- participate in preventative maintenance and repair of parking meters and related equipment
- collect, sort, and count money from parking meters
- handle proper cash reconciliation techniques
- prepare reports and document overages or shortages
- ensure safety and compliance with operational procedures
- work various shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
