Job Requirements

  • Must be willing and able to lift and/or move loads up to 40 pounds
  • Must be able to stand, walk or bend for extended periods
  • Willing to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions
  • Able to work around cars amid exhaust fumes and traffic
  • Available to work during events such as Bumbershoot, Folklife, Bite of Seattle, and all holidays including New Year’s Eve
  • Successful completion of pre-employment physical
  • Ability to pass background check in compliance with Fair Chance Employment Ordinance
  • Submit a full driving abstract upon offer if required
  • Ability to perform work on an intermittent/on-call basis with no guaranteed minimum hours

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum six months of customer service experience or equivalent education, training, or experience
  • Experience working in a public parking facility is a plus
  • Ability to make change quickly and accurately
  • Provide owned and insured vehicle for use during work
  • Possess a current Washington Driver's License and excellent driving record
  • Willing and able to work irregular hours including holidays, days, afternoons, evenings, and weekends
  • Proven experience serving a diverse customer base
  • Friendly, respectful, and courteous communication skills
  • Available to work 180 hours annually, 45 hours in each calendar quarter per union contract

Job Duties

  • Provide information about parking, events, and facilities
  • Sell parking and make change accurately and quickly
  • Prepare and submit bank deposit paperwork
  • Greet patrons in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Enforce facility rules and regulations
  • Prepare facility for daily operation by setting appropriate signage
  • Check facility for vandalism and pick up trash
