Job Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
- ability to read and write English
- ability to understand oral and written instructions
- ability to perform repetitive, short-cycle activities according to procedures when allocating parking spaces
- interpersonal skills in courtesy and diplomacy
- physical ability to work outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions
- frequent walking up and down ramps or stairs on uneven pavement in parking lots
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred

- strong interpersonal skills in courtesy and diplomacy
- ability to perform repetitive, short-cycle activities consistently according to procedures
Job Duties
- Greets and assist employees in a courteous manner
- directs employees to park in assigned areas of Henry Ford Hospital parking lots
- directs drivers to available parking areas and follows a predetermined plan for distributing cars around the lot
- records number of automobiles entering lot to determine daily use of parking facilities and notifies parking office when lot is full
- answers employees concerning shuttle service and parking issues
- periodically tours parking lot, at least once an hour, keeping alert for thefts or damage to parked cars
- reports unauthorized persons or cars to security
- issues Henry Ford Hospital parking violations when necessary
- maintains order and continuity within assigned area
- responsible for all equipment and supplies necessary to perform job
- maintains clean, neat and professional appearance
