Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old to operate own or company vehicles
  • must be at least 25 years old to operate a shuttle or drive guests
  • minimum of 3 years full-time verifiable similar vehicle driving experience
  • clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in last 36 months
  • no speeding violations over 25 MPH
  • no DUI convictions in last 5 years
  • no vehicular homicide, manslaughter or assault
  • no license suspensions or revocations
  • no use of vehicle in commission of a felony
  • no operating a vehicle without owner’s permission
  • no reckless driving or speed contests
  • no leaving the scene of an accident
  • no eluding police
  • no operating a cell phone while driving violations
  • ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • ability to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
  • ability to stand and exert mobility for up to 4 hours
  • good vision and hearing
  • neat and well-groomed appearance
  • compliance with company attendance policies and guidelines

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior hospitality experience preferred
  • 2-4 years of valet experience
  • valid driver license and ability to meet company insurance requirements
  • good communication skills
  • excellent customer relations skills
  • detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication abilities
  • basic computer skills
  • basic computational ability
  • knowledgeable about Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, Key system, and POS
  • self-driven and able to work independently

Job Duties

  • Welcome and escort guests to and from their rooms and assist with luggage
  • inform guests of all safety features and promote outlets if time permits
  • offer information about available hotel services, facilities, points of interest and entertainment attractions
  • store guest luggage upon request and assist with loading and unloading luggage into and out of automobiles
  • call taxi for guests as requested
  • prepare and maintain all tour and delivery paperwork ensuring accuracy and compliance
  • supervise all group baggage transfers and amenity deliveries
  • maintain the check-in station and valet areas for appearance and organization
  • assist other departments with transporting boxes and supplies
  • promote a positive working environment and follow all guidelines and procedures
  • complete maintenance and cleanliness of valet stand and surrounding areas
  • safely operate guest vehicles from valet area to designated parking and back
  • perform other duties as assigned by manager or supervisor
