Job Requirements
- Must be at least 17 years old
- valid driver's license and acceptable driving record for driving positions
- ability to lift 50 pounds
- willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
- ability to work independently and in a team
- pass criminal records check including fingerprinting
- high school diploma or GED preferred
- availability to work two to three weekends per month
- no staff supervision required
Job Qualifications
- Must be at least 17 years old
- high school graduate or GED preferred but not required
- valid driver's license required for driving positions
- ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions
- ability to work effectively with diverse groups and the public
- ability to follow and enforce rules
- experience in park maintenance or customer service is a plus
Job Duties
- Prepare athletic fields for games and practices including infield grooming, line painting, and setting bases
- perform routine inspections of park spaces such as trails, picnic shelters, sports courts, athletic fields, play areas, walkways, parking areas, announcement booths, skateparks, restrooms, concession buildings, and other facilities
- complete inspection reports to document damage, vandalism and other concerns
- provide customer service to athletic organizations, mobile food vendors, and special event organizers regarding permitted uses
- ensure appropriate use of facilities and report misuse
- assist park patrons with general inquiries and requests
- open and secure park facilities including buildings, gates, restrooms, and other areas
- operate county vehicles, utility terrain vehicles, and small power equipment
- assist with mowing operations and use commercial-grade mowing equipment
- perform other duties as assigned
