Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma
- Two years of experience in general groundskeeping and/or park facility related maintenance
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- Certification in First Aid and CPR obtained within six months of employment
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds and push or pull heavy objects
- Ability to climb, bend, stoop, squat, and walk frequently
- Ability to perform manual labor outdoors in adverse conditions
- Must work every weekend
- Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual communication
- Must comply with drug-free workplace policy
Job Qualifications

- Two years of experience in general groundskeeping and/or park facility related maintenance
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 80 pounds
- Ability to operate light-duty construction and maintenance equipment
- Skill in the use of hand tools utilized in basic construction and maintenance activities
- Valid Florida driver’s license
- Certification in First Aid and CPR obtained within six months of employment
- Ability to communicate effectively using verbal, written and visual methods
- Ability to train and lead entry-level staff
Job Duties
- Operate and assist with maintaining light-duty construction and maintenance equipment
- Clean, mow, edge, trim, and maintain grounds, recreation areas, and athletic fields
- Plant, prune, and trim bushes, shrubs, and trees
- Clean and perform custodial duties including emptying trash, cleaning restrooms, stripping and waxing floors
- Assist with basic building maintenance such as painting, repairing doors, changing air filters and light bulbs
- Enforce rules and regulations and provide information to the public
- Develop and oversee a volunteer base to assist with park duties
