Job Requirements

  • Minimum three years ALS experience for flight paramedics
  • Minimum three years clinical experience for EMT-P or licensed paramedics
  • Current Texas certification or licensure as a paramedic
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid Texas drivers license
  • Auto liability insurance
  • ACLS certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • PALS certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • NRP certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • Stable certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • TNCC audit within six months of employment and every four years thereafter
  • Advanced certification within two years
  • Emergency Vehicle Operators Course during orientation and every three years thereafter

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum three years advanced life support experience for flight paramedics
  • Minimum three years clinical experience for EMT-P or licensed paramedics
  • Current Texas certification or licensure as a paramedic
  • Current CPR certification
  • ACLS certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • PALS certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • NRP certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • Stable certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • TNCC audit within six months of employment and every four years thereafter
  • Advanced certification such as FP-C, CCEMTP, C-NPT, or TP-C within two years
  • Emergency Vehicle Operators Course during orientation and every three years thereafter

Job Duties

  • Provide care and transportation to pediatric and neonatal patients via ground ambulance, helicopter, and fixed wing aircraft
  • maintain the readiness of equipment
  • ensure availability of supplies
  • complete related paperwork accurately
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • expand knowledge of pediatric and neonatal care and apply in transport environment
