Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years ALS experience for flight paramedics or 3 years clinical experience for EMT-P/LP
  • plan to assess and document competency and proficiency in critical care medical transport
  • current Texas certification or licensure as a paramedic
  • current CPR certification
  • valid Texas driver's license and auto liability insurance
  • ACLS certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • PALS certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • NRP certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • Stable certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • TNCC certification audit within 6 months of employment and every 4 years thereafter
  • advanced certification (FP-C, CCEMTP, C-NPT or TP-C) within 2 years
  • emergency vehicle operators course during orientation and every 3 years thereafter

Job Duties

  • Provide care and transportation to pediatric and neonatal patients via ground ambulance, helicopter, and fixed wing aircraft
  • maintain readiness of medical equipment
  • ensure availability of necessary supplies
  • complete related paperwork and documentation
  • apply knowledge of pediatric and neonatal care in the transport environment
  • maintain positive working relationships with team members and families
  • adhere to safety and regulatory protocols during transport
