Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Current EMT-Paramedic license or certification in the assigned state
- Current CPR and AED certification
- Completion of FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training
- Minimum two years of clinical or hospital experience
- Fulfillment of state basic IV therapy requirements
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- Currently licensed or certified in the assigned state as EMT-Paramedic
- Current CPR and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- Successfully complete FDA approved training for Medical Support Specialist at BioLife
- Minimum two years clinical or hospital setting experience
Job Duties
- Determine donor eligibility through medical history review, physical examination, and blood testing
- Manage donor adverse events and follow SOPs for medical emergencies
- Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable findings
- Support employee vaccination programs including Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu
- Manage and assess employee incidents in collaboration with Occupational Health and EHS
- Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS
- Collaborate with Center Physician and Medical Affairs on medical and safety issues
