Job Requirements

  • One year of experience in rescue and emergency medical services
  • Ability to deploy for a minimum of 30 days with minimal notice
  • Willingness to work under varied and challenging conditions
  • Compliance with MedicOne and GMR/FEMA policies
  • Ability to maintain EMS uniform policy
  • Commitment to patient privacy and professional conduct
  • Compliance with all applicable licensure and certification requirements as of date of application

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of AEMT course of study
  • Current state-issued driver’s license
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Current state paramedic certification/license
  • Current ACLS certification
  • BLS/CPR card
  • EVOC or CEVO certification
  • Hazmat awareness training
  • Hepatitis B immunization record
  • FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications
  • COVID-19 vaccination (may be preferred)

Job Duties

  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls calmly and efficiently
  • Administer basic life support to patients at the scene, enroute, and in pre-hospital settings
  • Assess the nature and extent of injury or illness to prioritize medical procedures
  • Rescue victims using proper rescue and medical techniques
  • Communicate with medical personnel and treatment facilities to arrange patient care
  • Maintain order at emergency scenes including crowd control
  • Complete all required patient care and insurance forms in a timely manner
  • Protect patient privacy and handle sensitive information appropriately
  • Respond to dispatcher and team leader instructions, navigate emergency vehicles safely
  • Ensure vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, and proper equipment stocking
  • Handle telephone communications professionally and protect privacy
  • Monitor communication equipment and maintain contact with dispatchers
  • Perform life-saving operations as necessary
  • Check, restock, clean vehicles and ambulance service locations
  • Represent the company at public service functions and events
  • Provide standby ambulance services at designated events
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
