Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Successful completion of AEMT course of study
  • Current state paramedic certification or license
  • Current ACLS certification
  • BLS/CPR card
  • EVOC or CEVO certification
  • Hazmat awareness training
  • Hepatitis B immunization record
  • FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, 800 certifications
  • Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination preferences where applicable
  • One year of experience in rescue and emergency medical services
  • Current state-issued driver’s license
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Willingness to deploy for a minimum of 30 days with minimal notice
  • Ability to work in challenging conditions
  • Adherence to MedicOne Medical Response and GMR/FEMA policies
  • Commitment to patient privacy and professionalism
  • Physical ability to perform job duties

Job Qualifications

  • COVID-19 vaccination (may be preferred on some assignments)
  • One year of experience in rescue and emergency medical services
  • Current state-issued driver’s license
  • Minimum age of 21 years (for insurance purposes)

Job Duties

  • Respond to emergency and non-emergency calls calmly, efficiently, and effectively administer basic life support
  • Assess the nature and extent of injury or illness to establish and prioritize medical procedures
  • Rescue victims of accidents, sudden illness or entrapment using proper rescue and medical techniques
  • Communicate with professional medical personnel and treatment facilities to obtain instructions and arrange reception of patients
  • Maintain order at scenes, including crowd disbursement and restraint of family and friends
  • Complete patient care forms, insurance forms, evaluation forms, and other documentation promptly and accurately
  • Protect patient privacy and adhere to company privacy policies
  • Navigate specially equipped emergency vehicles safely according to dispatcher and team leader instructions
  • Ensure vehicles are maintained, stocked, and cleaned to a ready condition
  • Handle telephone communications professionally with regard to patient privacy
  • Monitor communication equipment to maintain contact
  • Perform life-saving operations
  • Represent the ambulance service at public service functions and events
  • Provide ambulance stand-by services at designated activities
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management
