Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or 10 years of work experience
- No prior experience required
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from American Heart Association
- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification from American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from American Heart Association
- Paramedic license from Oklahoma State Department of Health
- Paramedic certification from NREMT
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license
- Clean driving record
Job Qualifications

- Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Paramedic certification from the Oklahoma State Department of Health
- Paramedic certification from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT)
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license
- Clean driving record as evidenced by Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
Job Duties
- Identifies and intervenes to stabilize ill or injured patients during transport under direction
- Initiates and implements interventions based on team protocols
- Monitors, records and communicates patient condition and treatment
- Provides population-specific education to patients and families about illnesses and treatments
- Inspects, maintains and cares for equipment ensuring safety
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
- Performs clerical duties including answering phones and maintaining records
