Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
  • currently licensed or certified in the assigned state as EMT-Paramedic
  • current CPR and AED certification
  • fulfill state basic IV therapy requirements
  • completion of FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training
  • minimum two years clinical or hospital setting experience

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program
  • current state licensure or certification as EMT-Paramedic
  • current CPR and AED certification
  • completion of FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training
  • two years clinical or hospital experience
  • familiarity with plasma collection regulations
  • knowledge of environmental health and safety practices
  • ability to follow medical and operational protocols

Job Duties

  • Determine donor eligibility
  • manage informed consent and AIDS education
  • conduct medical history interviews and physical examinations
  • perform blood testing and review serological test results
  • evaluate and manage donor reactions and medical emergencies
  • refer donors to Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed
  • support employee vaccination programs
  • manage employee incidents and follow EHS guidance
  • assist as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized
