Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum 3 years as a paramedic
- Current Texas Paramedic-P, EMT-P or NREMP-P license
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- ACLS and PALS certification within 90 days of hire
- Ability to perform advanced patient assessments and interventions
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to maintain vehicle readiness and manage narcotic counts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Minimum 3 years as a paramedic
- Preferred 5 years of 911 or similar agency with advanced protocol
- Current Texas Paramedic-P, EMT-P or NREMP-P
- BLS within 30 days of hire
- ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire
- Preferred CCP-P or FP-C
- EMS instructor
Job Duties
- Advanced patient assessment and monitoring
- Advanced clinical interventions including mechanical ventilation, medication infusions and advanced airway management within the scope of practice
- Safe and efficient inter/intra-facility transport
- Clear, consistent and accurate documentation and communication
- Participation in continuous quality improvement initiatives and continuing education
- Maintain vehicle readiness through completing daily checks, ensuring cleanliness, and restocking supplies
- Responsible for completion and submission of electronic patient care record for each dispatched transport within the specified time frame
- Responsible for daily base checks, which includes narcotic count
- Provide pre-hospital and intra-hospital advanced life support care from initial contact until patient care is relinquished to the accepting medical facility maintaining thorough patient care documentation
- Maintains competency in knowledge and psychomotor skills by participating in ongoing clinical experiences
