Job Requirements

  • Associate degree
  • Possess and maintain National Registered Paramedic Certification or Certified Paramedic
  • Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Completion of an approved trauma course
  • Knowledge of instructional methods and experience in paramedic skills instruction
  • Ability to work Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Provide unofficial transcripts during application and official transcripts upon hire

Job Qualifications

  • Associate degree
  • National Registered Paramedic Certification or Certified Paramedic
  • Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS
  • Completion of an approved trauma course
  • Knowledge of instructional methods with teaching or training experience in paramedic skills instruction
  • At least two years of field experience as a practicing EMT or paramedic preferred

Job Duties

  • Instruct courses in accordance with approved syllabi and CoAEMSP standards
  • Provide students with appropriate course materials such as syllabus, calendar, and policy statements
  • Deliver quality instruction adhering to course competencies
  • Provide timely feedback to students
  • Maintain a positive learning environment
  • Develop and maintain course syllabi and curriculum
  • Manage course materials online and develop courses for live and online training
  • Advise students academically and career-wise
  • Maintain records and documentation required for accreditation
  • Ensure program equipment and supplies are maintained and comply with safety standards
  • Perform inventory control
  • Complete required reports and course documentation
  • Participate in professional development activities
  • Develop an annual professional development plan
