Job Requirements

  • Must meet the qualifications of an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
  • no criminal record with guilty verdicts related to employment suitability
  • complete a minimum of ten evaluated ALS calls with satisfactory ratings post-training
  • receive final approval by Director of Operations and Executive Director
  • no concurrent employment with conflicting ambulance services
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • maintain valid state EMT certification
  • maintain paramedic or intermediate certification
  • maintain BCLS and ACLS certifications
  • hold current valid state Driver's License
  • must have reliable transportation
  • punctuality and proper uniform required

Job Qualifications

  • Must meet the qualifications of an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • ALS certification required
  • ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedure manuals
  • ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • effective verbal communication skills
  • mathematical ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
  • problem-solving ability and ability to interpret instructions
  • must maintain current state certification as an EMT
  • must have valid state Driver's License
  • maintain BCLS and ACLS certifications
  • ability to communicate effectively with patients and other personnel

Job Duties

  • Provide advanced life support treatment of patients
  • safe and efficient operation of ambulances and other company vehicles and equipment
  • basic life support treatment and transportation of sick and injured persons
  • providing emergency medical treatment within the scope of certification and training
  • full compliance with state, local, and federal regulations and laws
  • observe patients and record significant conditions and treatments
  • take vital signs such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
  • prepare inventories and stock supplies
  • clean and disinfect ambulance interior and exterior
  • safely lift, transfer, and maneuver patients
  • effectively communicate with patients, families, medical personnel, and the public
  • maintain punctuality and proper uniform standards
  • complete and maintain accurate transport and equipment records
  • promote the company and perform public relations as assigned
  • attend company meetings and educational sessions
  • inspect and report safety issues or equipment problems to Administration
  • report any changes in driving record, certification, or health status promptly
  • maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information
  • perform other duties as assigned by Administration
