Job Requirements

  • high school diploma, ged, or equivalent qualification
  • minimum of 2 years of experience in the ems field preferred
  • state specific paramedic license in good standing or current nremt certification if required by state
  • current certifications cpr: bls, acls, pcc/pals
  • valid state specific drivers license
  • successful completion of a comprehensive background check and drug screening
  • strong people skills and proven ability to collaborate within a team
  • proficient verbal and written communication skills
  • ventilator certified every three years
  • successful completion of a written and practical exam
  • fema is certs: is-100, is-200, is-700, is-800

Job Qualifications

  • additional certification or advanced training in emergency services such as aml, phtls, or atls training preferred
  • technology proficiency preferred

Job Duties

  • function as a paramedic conducting patient care from an ambulance
  • supervise day-to-day field operation employees in the absence of senior management
  • ensure field employees have required equipment
  • serve as liaison for field staff to other departments
  • prepare reports involving mechanical breakdowns, accident investigation, exposures, and shift activities
  • ensure adherence to policies, procedures, and patient care protocols
  • manage short-term scheduling needs and deployment efficiency
