Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- valid Ohio paramedic license
- current CPR and ACLS certification
- availability to attend Non-Violent Crisis Intervention class within 6 months of employment
- ability to exert up to 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and up to 10-25 pounds frequently
- no travel or driving required
Job Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- valid Ohio paramedic license
- current CPR and ACLS certification
- PALS certification preferred
- attendance in Non-Violent Crisis Intervention class within 6 months of employment
- one year paramedic experience preferred
Job Duties
- Deliver direct patient care under the direction of the registered nurse
- respond to the demands of changing patient acuity in a positive and efficient manner
- practice quality service evidenced through QI results and patient satisfaction
- perform minimally-invasive patient procedures
- complete quick registration
- facilitate patient transport to needed areas including assisting patients from vehicles
- stock adequate equipment and supplies needed for emergencies
- utilize communication equipment including tracking board and radio
- distribute patient visitor cards and monitor visitor access
- visually scan and monitor waiting room patients to determine need for reassessment and communicate changes
- monitor cleanliness of waiting room and north entrance and request housekeeping services as needed
- document patient care using computerized clinical documentation system
