Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • NJ or National Registry Paramedic
  • Basic Life Support CPR
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support AHA
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support AHA
  • Valid driver’s license in the state of residence that meets RWJBarnabas Health standards
  • HAZMAT and CBRNE awareness
  • ICS 100, 200, and NIMS 700 and 800 certifications
  • Minimum 2 years MICP field experience within RWJBarnabas Health

  • Basic Life Support CPR certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support AHA certification
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support AHA certification
  • Valid driver’s license meeting state requirements
  • HAZMAT and CBRNE awareness training
  • ICS 100, 200, and NIMS 700 and 800 certifications
  • Minimum 2 years MICP field experience within RWJBarnabas Health

Job Duties

  • Educate and onboard new Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic employees on advanced life support 9-1-1 units
  • Provide hands-on field training and mentorship to new paramedics
  • Ensure adherence to RWJBarnabas Health EMS protocols and standards
  • Evaluate the progress and competencies of trainees
  • Collaborate with EMS leadership to improve training programs
  • Maintain documentation related to training activities
  • Participate in continuous professional development to stay current with EMS best practices
