Job Requirements
- High school education/GED or equivalent
- Paramedic license in state of practice
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQIBLS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS or HS-ACLS or RQIACLS) certification
- Valid driver's license and must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Paramedic (PM)
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS)
Job Qualifications
- High school education/GED or equivalent
- Associate's/technical degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred
- Three years' full-time experience in a 911 system preferred
- Paramedic license in state of practice
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS or HS-BLS or RQIBLS)
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS or HS-ACLS or RQIACLS) certification
- Emergency Vehicle Operator Certification (EVOC) or equivalent preferred
- Valid driver's license and must be at least 21 years of age or older
- Paramedic (PM)
- Hospital Fire and Life Safety (HLFS)
Job Duties
- Provides individualized care plan for patient presentation according to acceptable medical practice standards, issued standing orders, on-line medical control and department policies and procedures
- Provides emergency care in the pre-hospital environment
- Provides fundamental components of patient comfort, safety, privacy and respect within the perioperative setting
- Identifies and develops areas of expertise within the surgical specialties
- Conducts emergency medical classes as requested by department manager
- Administers oral and intravenous medications
- Intubates patients or performs surgical airway insertion (cricothyrotomy), and place catheters for venous access such as central venous lines
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
