Job Requirements
- High school education or GED required
- paramedic license required
- AHA Basic Life Support certification required
- AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required
- valid driver's license and minimum age of 21 required
- hospital fire and life safety certification required
- three years of full-time experience in a 911 system preferred
- emergency vehicle operator certification preferred
- associate's or technical degree preferred
Job Qualifications
- High school education or GED
- paramedic license in the state of practice
- certification in AHA Basic Life Support
- certification in AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- valid driver's license
- knowledge of hospital fire and life safety
- experience in 911 emergency medical system preferred
- emergency vehicle operator certification preferred
Job Duties
- Provides emergency care in the pre-hospital environment
- evaluates and stabilizes patients with medical emergencies
- responds to emergency medical calls including CPR and wound care
- assesses patient condition and determines treatment plans
- administers oral and intravenous medications
- performs advanced airway management including intubation and surgical airway insertion
- conducts emergency medical training classes as requested
