Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required
- 3 months paramedic experience or completion of a paramedic internship required
- EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required or LP - Licensed Paramedic
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required
- CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training (ED Only) within 60 days of hire required
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

- 1 year paramedic experience in EMS or fire department preferred
- EMT-P - Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic required or LP - Licensed Paramedic
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days of hire required
- BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days of hire required

Job Duties
- Administers IV fluid without additives, saline flush, IV antibiotics, all IV medications excluding controlled and RSI medications
- Uses ACLS drugs including drips with barcode medication verification during medication administrations
- Administers all IM and oral medications excluding controlled drugs
- Plans the care of the patient
- Completes accurate documentation in the electronic health record
- Provides consistent attention to airway, intake, elimination, sleep, rest, mobility and hygiene needs
- Applies antiembolic stockings and sequential compression devices
- Manages cervical collars
- Performs external defibrillation
- Applies nasal cannula or oxygen mask
- Inserts and removes oral airway
- Performs ultrasound-guided peripheral IV access
- Draws blood from ports
- Performs other duties as assigned by RN
