Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or associate's degree or technical degree
- Minimum three years of experience in emergency medical services
- Advanced Life Support obtained within six months of hire date or job transfer date
- BLS provider obtained within one month of hire date or job transfer date
- Certification specializing in neonatal resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics obtained within twelve months of hire date or job transfer date
- Certification specializing in the S.T.A.B.L.E program obtained within twelve months of hire date or job transfer date
- Drivers license obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Emergency Medical Tech specializing in ER vehicle operation credentialed from Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained within twelve months of hire date or job transfer date
- Paramedic credentialed from Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within six months of hire date or job transfer date
- Certified Prehospital Trauma Life Support obtained within twelve months of hire date or job transfer date

Job Duties
- Identifies, intervenes, and stabilizes the ill or injured patient during interfacility and intrafacility transport as part of the transport team in collaboration with the transport physician and/or registered nurse
- Initiates and implements interventions based on transport team protocols
- monitors, records, and communicates patient condition and treatment, as appropriate
- Contacts receiving medical personnel, reports observations and follows directives
- Inspects, maintains and cares for equipment to ensure safety of the transport team, patients and public
- May be required to drive an ambulance to transport patients and/or supplies
- Complies with the air medical vendor limitations and physical requirements
