Job Requirements
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or associate's degree, or technical degree
- Minimum three years of experience in emergency medical services
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 month of hire or transfer
- Certification in Neonatal Resuscitation credentialed from the American Academy of Pediatrics obtained within 12 months of hire or transfer
- Certification in The S.T.A.B.L.E. Program obtained within 12 months of hire or transfer
- Driver's license obtained prior to hire or transfer
- Emergency Medical Tech specializing in ER Vehicle Operation credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained within 12 months of hire or transfer
- Paramedic credentialed from the Indiana Department of Homeland Security obtained prior to hire or transfer
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer
- Certified Prehospital Trauma Life Support obtained within 12 months of hire or transfer
Job Qualifications

- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer

Job Duties
- Identifies, intervenes, and stabilizes the ill or injured patient during interfacility and intrafacility transport in collaboration with the transport physician and/or registered nurse
- Initiates and implements interventions based on transport team protocols
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition and treatment as appropriate
- Contacts receiving medical personnel, reports observations and follows directives
- Inspects, maintains, and cares for equipment to ensure safety of the transport team, patients and public
- May be required to drive an ambulance to transport patients and/or supplies
- Complies with the Air Medical Vendor limitations and physical requirements
