Job Requirements

  • active Indiana certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
  • current CPR and ACLS certification
  • minimum one year experience as an RN or EMT-Paramedic
  • minimum one year experience working in behavioral health or substance use treatment settings

Job Qualifications

  • active Indiana certification as an Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
  • current CPR certification
  • current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
  • minimum of one year experience as a Registered Nurse or Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic
  • minimum of one year experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment settings
  • knowledge of body substance isolation techniques
  • ability to perform cardiac monitoring and interpret 12 lead EKGs
  • skills in managing airways and ventilation
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to function in stressful situations

Job Duties

  • intake processing including eligibility verification
  • implementation of withdrawal management protocols
  • evaluation of resident medical and withdrawal needs
  • medication and injection administration as per prescribed orders and protocols
  • documentation of relevant medical and treatment information
  • maintaining safety and security of residents and staff
  • participation in healthcare team collaborations and recovery discussions
