Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of vocational paramedic training
- Minimum 3 years paramedic experience
- Valid Georgia Paramedic License
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Current AHA/ARC BLS certification
- Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification
- PALS certification or will obtain within 9 months
- CPT training within 9 months
- FAST-ED stroke scale within 3 months
- Critical Care or Flight Paramedic certification within 3 months
- Ability to work under pressure
- Strong communication
- Team collaboration skills
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- Completion of a vocational training program as a paramedic
- Minimum of 3 years experience as a paramedic, preferably with critical care and 911 background
- Valid Georgia Paramedic License with current state licensure
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Current AHA/ARC BLS certification
- Current AHA ACLS/ARC ALS certification
- AHA/ARC PALS certification or within 9 months of hire
- CPT training within 9 months of hire
- FAST-ED stroke scale certification or obtained within 3 months of hire
- Critical Care Paramedic (CC-P) or Flight Paramedic (FP-C) certification within 3 months of hire
- Excellent clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team under high-pressure situations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Job Duties
- Respond effectively to emergency and non-emergency 911 calls in Houston County, GA, and surrounding areas
- Provide advanced pre-hospital assessment, treatment, and stabilization of patients in various settings
- Ensure safe and efficient care during transfer of critically ill or injured patients to designated medical facilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in airway management, IV therapy, advanced cardiac life support, and other critical care procedures
- Operate and maintain emergency response vehicles, ensuring readiness
- Maintain accurate, detailed documentation of patient care and transport activities
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, medical teams, and receiving facilities
- Adhere to all EMS policies, procedures, and safety protocols
- Engage in continuous education and skills development
