Job Requirements
- Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
- Maintain continuing education per local Medical Control Authorities and state requirements
- Ability to write, read and speak English fluently
- Illinois Department of Public Health Paramedic License in good standing
- Current American Heart Association CPR certification
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification
- For critical care paramedics, program certification with ITLS or PHTLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Valid Illinois driver’s license

Job Duties
- Provide emergency medical care and transport for sick or injured patients
- Perform BLS and ALS procedures as permitted by licensure and protocols
- Accurately assess patient conditions and communicate effectively with medical personnel
- Operate and maintain emergency vehicles and medical equipment safely
- Maintain accurate documentation and uphold patient confidentiality per HIPAA
- Participate in equipment restocking, vehicle cleaning, and continuing education
