Job Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year experience within an active EMS system providing advanced life support
  • Must be between ages 21 and 79
  • Must show proof of valid personal automobile insurance coverage in the State of New Jersey
  • No reported driving-related violations or accidents in the past 3 years
  • Full-time availability for 36 hours per week, 12-hour shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current NJ Paramedic certification or eligible for reciprocity
  • NREMT-P preferred
  • Current BLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP or EPC certifications
  • ICS-100 or equivalent and IS-700 or equivalent upon hire
  • ICS-200 or equivalent and IS-800 or equivalent within first year of employment
  • Current state issued driver license with clean driving record

Job Duties

  • Provide pre-hospital advanced life support care in all weather conditions
  • Cooperate with other EMS providers as a member of the patient care team
  • Assess, treat, lift, move and transport patients safely to medical facilities
  • Complete all required documentation accurately
  • Maintain a professional attitude while performing assigned duties
  • Utilize appropriate equipment and techniques for patient care
  • Support efficient EMS operations through teamwork and communication
