Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pennsylvania ALS certification
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record for minimum of 2 years
- Current CPR certification for health care provider
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 125 pounds
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support ACLS certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support PALS certification
- Ability to obtain command letter prior to orientation
- Successful completion of Physical Aptitude Test
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights and weekends
Job Qualifications
- Pennsylvania ALS certification minimum
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record for at least 2 years
- Valid CPR card for the health care provider
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 125 pounds or more
- Valid Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support ACLS certification
- Valid Pediatric Advanced Life Support PALS certification
- EMSVO certification preferred
- Ability to obtain a command letter from previous command doctor prior to orientation
- Successful completion of Physical Aptitude Test
Job Duties
- Collaborate with fellow paramedics, EMTs, and management to assure top tier patient care
- Be flexible as emergency services operate on a 24-hour clock with variable shift schedules
- Remain up to date with current standards of care, equipment functions, certifications, licenses, and registrations
- Conduct yourself in a courteous, helpful, and professional manner when dealing with patients, co-workers, supervisors, and the public
- Recognize and treat medical conditions using appropriate techniques, equipment, and knowledge of State and County protocols
- Provide medical transport to facilities while assuming responsibility for patient care and following established policies
- Operate and drive ambulances according to safety policies and legal regulations
- Maintain rig cleanliness by stocking and taking ownership of assigned space
- Gather patient billing information and appropriate signatures
- Prepare and submit pre-hospital patient care reports
- Respond promptly to assignments from the Dispatch Center
- Exhibit excellent verbal communication skills
- Perform other duties as assigned or required
