Job Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of pre-hospital advanced life support experience
  • High school graduate
  • Successful completion of EMT-Paramedic program or equivalent
  • Successful completion of CCEMT-P or Critical Care Nursing program
  • Satisfactory completion of Pennsylvania Department of Health practical and written examinations
  • Current Pennsylvania EMT-Paramedic or Pre-Hospital Nurse certification
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
  • Current Provider BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Hazmat Awareness certification
  • EVOC/EMSVO certification
  • Preferred additional certifications such as NREMT-P, PHTLS, BTLS, PALS, NALS, or Firefighting 1

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Successful completion of an approved EMT-Paramedic program or equivalent
  • Completion of approved CCEMT-P or Critical Care Nursing Program
  • Pennsylvania certification as EMT-Paramedic or Pre-Hospital Nurse
  • Current Provider BLS and ACLS certifications
  • Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license
  • Hazmat Awareness certification
  • EVOC/EMSVO certification
  • Experience in pre-hospital advanced life support for a minimum of two years

Job Duties

  • Provide basic and advanced life support to patients in the field
  • Evaluate patient conditions quickly and accurately
  • Communicate effectively with team members and patients
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient care reports
  • Operate emergency vehicles safely
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals for patient transport and care
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to maintain certifications
