Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an EMT-P training course approved under Arizona 9 A.A.C. 25, Articles 2, 4, and 5
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 180 days
- ADHS paramedic certification or Arizona state certified
- Ability to work under supervision with medical team
- Commitment to compliance with department competencies
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduate of an EMT-P training course approved under Arizona regulations
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 180 days
- ADHS paramedic certification or Arizona state certification
- Ability to work semi-independently under supervision
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Experience in patient transport and maintaining medical records preferred
- Ability to follow departmental competencies and protocols
Job Duties
- Provide and collaborate direct patient care services under supervision
- Perform personal care, activities of daily living, vital signs monitoring
- Manage intake and output and assist with ambulation
- Initiate peripheral intravenous lines and perform phlebotomy
- Conduct eye irrigation and urinary catheterization
- Administer medications under supervision according to approved list
- Assist with patient transport and maintain a safe environment by cleaning equipment and stocking supplies
- Observe and report changes in patient condition
- Maintain accurate medical records
- Reinforce patient education under licensed personnel direction
- Address and direct questions from patients, families, caregivers, or healthcare team members
- Answer patch phone under supervision after training
- Perform additional duties as assigned
