- State of Indiana EMT-Paramedic Certification
- current CPR Certification
- current ACLS Certification
- current PALS Certification
- pass State of Indiana Criminal Background Check
- pass Indiana BMV Motor Vehicle Report

- familiarity with patient privacy laws and Trans-Care policies
- ability to operate and oversee ambulance vehicles safely

Job Duties
- Perform all skills and procedures as designed by the Indiana EMS Commission curriculum
- meet the requirements of Trans-Care’s Medical Direction for affiliation and clinical oversight
- practice skills and fulfill duties within the Standard of Care Protocol and directions from medical authorities
- adhere to all Trans-Care policies and procedures
- respond to EMS calls assigned by the communications center
- operate and oversee the assigned vehicle according to state and company policies
- maintain patient confidentiality and follow all privacy policies
- demonstrate courteous and professional behavior at all times
- account for and certify proper functioning of Advance Life Support equipment
- check in and account for narcotics according to regulations
- maintain in-service education as required
- submit complete and timely documentation
- maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment
- precept paramedics, EMTs, students, and new employees
- report vehicle issues and assist with repairs
- ensure physical fitness for job duties
- perform related duties as assigned by supervisors
