Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum age of 18 years
- Valid driver's license with appropriate insurance
- NJ or National Registry Paramedic Certification or eligible for reciprocity
- Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider certification
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification
- Hazmat Awareness Certification
- ICS 100, ICS 200, NIMS 700, and NIMS 800 certification
- Completion of Weapons of Mass Destruction or CBRNE Awareness training
- Ability to work assigned shifts including nights and weekends
- Capable of clear, professional communication in English
- Must maintain compliance with hospital employee health requirements
- Ability to operate emergency vehicles safely
Job Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Must be 18 years of age
- Current driver's license meeting vehicle insurance company requirements
- NJ Paramedic Certification or National Registry Paramedic Certification eligible for reciprocity
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
- AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Hazmat Awareness Certification
- Possession of ICS 100, 200, and NIMS 700, 800 certifications
- Completion of Weapons of Mass Destruction or CBRNE Awareness training
- Preferred: PHTLS/ITLS certification
- Preferred: Associate Degree
Job Duties
- Provide advanced life support (ALS) services to patients
- Operate department vehicles following all applicable New Jersey motor vehicle laws
- Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, patients, and healthcare providers
- Complete all required patient care documentation accurately and timely
- Conduct vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Participate in department and state-required continuing education programs
- Adhere to safety protocols and organizational policies
