Job Requirements

  • must be at least eighteen years of age
  • must hold a high school diploma or its equivalent
  • must hold an associate degree or have completed two years of college study, or have passed required paraeducator assessments with official documentation
  • must pass a criminal background check
  • availability to work a 3 hour shift from 1 pm to 4 pm subject to change
  • ability to comply with school district policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • must hold an associate degree or higher, or have completed two years of college study equivalent to 72 quarter credit hours, or have passed the Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment with a score of 455 or higher, or have passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher
  • must be at least eighteen years of age
  • must hold a high school diploma or equivalent
  • ability to support students with physical, behavioral, and medical needs
  • good communication and collaboration skills
  • experience working in educational or supportive roles preferred

Job Duties

  • assist teachers with individualized and small group instruction for students with physical or behavioral needs or medical fragility
  • support students special health care needs and develop daily living and behavioral skills
  • assist with classroom preparation and retrieval, use and storage of equipment and supplies
  • supervise and assist students in library, classrooms, resource rooms, self-contained classrooms, playgrounds, or during transportation on and off buses
  • collaborate with staff to enhance educational outcomes
  • maintain a safe and supportive learning environment
  • document and report student progress and concerns
