Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2 years experience in non-profit environment
  • demonstrated proficiency in customer service
  • basic understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • must be willing to work occasional early mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Safe Serve certified

Job Duties

  • Coordinate all aspects of pantry program operations and support in-kind inventory for all programs
  • order food for pantry, monitor nutritional content, track inventory, receive daily deliveries, keep budget for foods ordered, track all data requirements and statistic details
  • provide courteous service to all guests and demonstrate empathy
  • actively engage and encourage volunteers, schedule drivers for fresh rescue program, determine volunteer roles daily, consider short and long-term volunteer roles, engage in volunteer recognition
  • assist in daily receiving, sorting, and coordinating food to dining services
  • ensure pantry, office space, and storage room are clean, well organized and meet Safe Serve standards and health department licensing
  • ensure proper registration of individuals and families
  • manage and maintain confidentiality of participant data input and provide monthly statistics report to director
  • operate manual equipment
  • perform other duties as assigned
  • participate in in-service training
