Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Culinary experience
- Ability to work long flexible hours
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Ability to stand for entire shift
- Ability to handle temperature variations hot and cold
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize
- Must maintain a warm and friendly demeanor
- Ability to comply with health and safety regulations
- Must wear proper uniform and nametag
- Attend all required meetings and trainings
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Willingness to cross-train in other hotel areas
Job Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in hotel or related field preferred
- Culinary experience required
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Flexible and able to work long hours
- Knowledge of cooking techniques including charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, saute, braising, roasting and par-cooking
- Effective communication skills verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize departmental functions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Initiative to anticipate guest or operational needs
Job Duties
- Prepare all cold food items based on standardized recipes
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all storage areas
- Complete necessary food and station preparation prior to restaurant opening
- Prepare and display buffet food items per hotel standards
- Work banquet food station as scheduled
- Follow all health department and company regulations on food safety
- Support other kitchen positions as needed
