Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Culinary experience
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to stand for entire shift

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Culinary experience required
  • Knowledge of cooking techniques including charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sauté, braising, roasting and par-cooking
  • Ability to recognize quality standards in fresh vegetables, fish, dairy and meat products
  • Knowledge of herbs and spices and proper use
  • Ability to maintain clean and sanitary environment
  • Ability to follow hotel standard recipes
  • Ability to work flexible hours and stand for entire shift
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations

Job Duties

  • Prepare all cold food items based on standardized recipes for Restaurants, Room Service, Employee Cafeteria and Banquets
  • Maintain cleanliness, sanitation and safety in kitchen and work areas
  • Minimize waste and maximize cost/production ratio
  • Complete food and station preparation prior to restaurant opening
  • Prepare and display buffet food items according to hotel standards
  • Work banquet food station as scheduled
  • Operate and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment
