Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • culinary experience required
  • proficiency in cooking techniques including charbroiling, poaching, deep-frying, sautéing, braising, roasting and par-cooking
  • knowledge of quality standards for fresh vegetables, fish, dairy and meat products
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards

Job Duties

  • prepare all cold food items based on standardized recipes for restaurants, room service, employee cafeteria and banquets
  • maintain cleanliness and sanitation in kitchen and work areas
  • minimize waste and maximize cost/production ratio
  • prepare and display buffet food items following hotel standards
  • support various kitchen stations as needed
  • follow all health department and company regulations regarding food handling and storage
  • operate and maintain cleanliness of all kitchen equipment
