Job Duties
- Prepare presentations of dishes and banquet trays
- prepare cold dishes
- operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers to cook dishes
- prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, and storing before use
- cook and prepare food items
- weigh, measure, and mix ingredients
- wash and peel fresh fruits and vegetables
- monitor food quality during preparation and throughout the day
- test dishes for proper cooking
- ensure food quality and report issues to manager
- clean and sanitize kitchen area, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
- set up and divide workstations
- check and maintain correct temperatures of appliances and food
- comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- report accidents and unsafe conditions
- maintain clean and professional appearance
- greet and recognize guests according to company standards
- anticipate service needs
- communicate clearly and professionally
- answer phones with proper protocol
- foster positive working relationships
- support team goals
- meet quality expectations
