Job Qualifications
- previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation environment preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to follow recipe and portion control guidelines
- strong attention to detail and time management skills
- ability to work effectively in a team
- good communication skills
- ability to perform physical tasks required in a kitchen environment
Job Duties
- report to work as indicated on the schedule
- wear correct uniform and practice positive hygiene habits
- obtain station assignment and perform all opening and closing duties
- maintain highest degree of sanitation and food safety
- adhere to all safety guidelines and report unsafe conditions
- assist in food preparation and sidework
- prep food according to Ruth's Chris recipe cards
- cook and plate food according to company standards
- time and serve food to ensure superior guest experience
- check and maintain par and stock levels of ingredients and supplies
- communicate discrepancies to the Chef
- coordinate with broiler cook for service timing
- restock food items and supplies throughout shift
- report unsafe conditions or injuries
- work required shifts including nights, weekends and holidays
