Job Requirements

  • Authorized to work in the United States
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand and move continuously for up to four hours
  • Ability to bend, kneel, stoop, reach, and squat frequently
  • Ability to taste and distinguish flavors, spices, temperatures, and aromas
  • Willingness to work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Commitment to safety and hygiene standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, peers, vendors, and guests

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or G.E.D
  • Ability to accurately perform measurement conversions
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Attention to detail in all assigned tasks
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills
  • Effective communication abilities
  • Demonstrated respect for diversity and inclusive workplace practices
  • Successful completion of restaurant training program
  • Preferred: SERV Safe Certification
  • Preferred: Minimum of 1 year experience in restaurant kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Portion and prepare all cold food items, including salads, cold appetizers, and desserts
  • Ensure all food is prepared and served according to Ruth's Chris Steak House quality and presentation standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of pantry station, including counters, refrigeration units, floors, walls, and shelving
  • Rotate and restock pantry food items, condiments, plateware, smallwares, equipment, and supplies
  • Assist kitchen staff with food preparation and sidework as assigned
  • Set up pantry station with all necessary ingredients, equipment, and supplies
  • Communicate and coordinate with broiler and side cooks to ensure timely food preparation and service
