Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not mandatory
- Prior experience in culinary or food preparation role
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Food safety certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic math proficiency
- Ability to comply with safety guidelines and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen
Job Qualifications
- Former exposure to culinary tasks or a related cooking role
- Firm grasp of cooking techniques and food preparation principles
- Awareness of sanitation practices and food safety regulations
- Certification in food safety if not already obtained
- Elementary math and numerical counting skills
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate
- High school diploma or comparable qualification recommended but not obligatory
Job Duties
- Follow standardized recipes and guidelines to cook and serve various meals
- Establish workstations by arranging essential ingredients and tools
- Prepare ingredients by chopping, trimming, measuring, mixing, and more
- Safely operate kitchen tools and appliances including knives, ovens, stovetops, and mixers to prevent accidents
- Make meals using baking, broiling, roasting, and steaming methods
- Follow established norms to layout, decorate, and serve food to meet presentation standards
- Observe necessary food safety protocols and ensure proper food storage
- Keep kitchen areas, utensils, and implements sanitized and free from pathogens
- Provide exceptional customer service with a positive attitude
- Abide by Aramark safety and sanitation policies
- Preserve the security of company holdings
