Job Requirements
- Must have 2 plus years of kitchen management experience
- proven upward career tracking in previous roles
- culinary school background preferred
- ability to communicate in Spanish is beneficial
- capacity to work ten-hour-plus shifts while standing, sitting, or walking
- ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- finger and hand dexterity to operate kitchen machinery and knives
- ability to withstand heat, steam, smoke, and confined work areas
- hearing, visual, and sensory capabilities to detect emergency situations and assess food quality
Job Qualifications
- Must have 2 plus years of kitchen management experience in a full-service, moderate to high-volume restaurant
- solid track record of success in previous assignments demonstrating upward career tracking
- culinary school background a plus
- ability to speak and understand Spanish a plus
Job Duties
- Oversee overall kitchen operations and back-of-house activities
- purchase food and manage inventory stock
- train staff on food preparation and kitchen safety procedures
- ensure food quality, portion control, and timely service
- maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitary standards
- enforce health and safety regulations within the kitchen
- manage disposal of food waste properly
