Job Requirements

  • bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related degree or 5+ years of gaming experience or 3+ years of professional event experience along with a high school diploma
  • dependable and flexible to work various shifts including split days off
  • ability to speak effectively before large groups of customers
  • excellent customer service, communication and telephone skills
  • ability to negotiate with vendors
  • strong decision making, planning and organizational skills
  • friendly, outgoing, displays initiative, professional and team player
  • a record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment

Job Qualifications

  • 2+ years experience in event planning, budgeting and income generation preferred
  • previous experience with Microsoft Office software, Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator and database creation preferred
  • previous experience with entertainment bookings preferred
  • experience in a gaming related field preferred

Job Duties

  • assist in executing marketing programs that drive new trips to the property
  • assist in the planning and implementation of all special events, promotions and entertainment
  • assist in the emceeing of all promotions, events and entertainment as needed
  • assist in proofing advertising, direct mail, special event and promotion collateral to ensure copy and variable data is accurate
  • coordinate support from other departments to ensure promotion execution and awareness
  • adhere to regulatory, departmental and company policies in an ethical manner and encourage others to do the same
  • participate in meetings to develop ideas for future promotions and events as needed
  • record expenses for each event and promotion
  • respond to inquiries from customers for information regarding upcoming events, promotions, and entertainment
  • provide a high level of customer service and promote a positive attitude to create a fun and entertaining experience for guests
  • develop promotion and event proposals within defined budgetary and strategic parameters
  • develop implementation timelines and task lists and coordinate all aspects of promotions and events with advertising, IT, direct mail, food & beverage, etc.
  • reconcile event manifests, vendor invoices and assist with analysis of promotions and events
  • resolve guest complaints and disputes, exercising discretion and judgment
  • perform other duties as assigned
