Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Three to five years related experience or nine months structured on the job training
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables
  • Physical ability to lift and move up to 35 pounds regularly and seek assistance for heavier lifting
  • Regular, predictable full-time attendance required
  • Ability to work all scheduled hours
  • Ability to maintain a safe and sanitary work environment
  • Willingness to operate manual or powered pallet jack and specialized lift equipment

Job Qualifications

  • Three to five years related experience or nine months structured on the job training

  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations

Job Duties

  • Perform a variety of tasks in panning confectionery products as assigned by the supervisor
  • Load and unload coating pans
  • Accurately measure and add flavors and colors to panning syrups according to written instructions
  • Produce intermediate flavor blends and other specific products as directed
  • Gather, mix, and package materials involved in confectionery production
  • Calculate, compile, and report production volumes as assigned
  • Operate manual or powered pallet jacks and specialized lift equipment
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary work area
