Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience in body and paint preparation preferred
- ability to tolerate high heat and chemical exposure
- must have basic computer literacy
- ability to follow detailed instructions and work independently
- strong attention to detail
- excellent attendance record
- ability to work overtime on short notice
- willingness to wear PPE respirators for extended periods
- good physical stamina and manual dexterity
- team player with good communication skills
- no critical performance issues in last review

- willing to develop a working knowledge of Spartan's systems (example: AS/400)
Job Duties
- Sanding of cabs in primer state as well as aluminum state
- washing of cabs parts before and after primer
- masking of cabs to create several tones per vehicle
- learn and retain skills and practices needed to complete duties in assigned area
- read and follow detailed operator instructions, installation drawings, blueprints, etcetera, as required by a particular area
- understand, and be able to articulate, the production flow of an assigned product line or area
- self-check work and inspect prior processes
- use basic hand, electric, cordless, and pneumatic tools, as required
- meet production goals
- maintain a clean and safe work area
- initiate process improvements
- support 5S in work area
- communicate with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams (engineering, materials, purchasing, sales, etcetera) to resolve issues
- work in close proximity with customer, as needed
- solve complex problems with minimal assistance
